Moravian's Recycling Program

What is the dormatory recycling program?

There are recycling bins on each floor of Moravian's dorms.  Facilities maintains work-study

students who tend to the recycling bins, making sure they are sorted and taken to the recycling center.

What is the over-flow housing recycling program?

Anyone at Moravian can recycle, and bins are provided free of charge at the request of the students.

The recycling for some houses is picked up by the city of Bethlehem and others by a private company.

However, it is important to note that ALL overflow houses MUST put out THEIR OWN recycling to the curb.

What to recycle at the curb:

  • Cans: Aluminum, tin, steel, bimetalic and aerosol cans; formed aluminum containers (such as pie pans). No toxic or flammable materials. No paint cans.
  • Glass: Clear, green, and brown food and beverage jars and bottles with caps. No drinking glasses, window panes, light bulbs, mirrors, ceramic, china, or porcelain.
  • Plastic: Any #1 or #2 container with a neck such as milk jugs, soda and water bottles, and laundry product bottles. Remove caps.
